Insight Smart Cloud Switches 8/10-port models now support static routing!

Did you know? With the newest firmware release 1.0.4.6, all 8-port/10-port models of the Insight Smart Cloud switches now support static routing, just like the larger port-count rackmount models! IPv4/IPv6 Static routing allows for a simple way to provide segmentation of the network with internal routing through the switch – reserving the router for external traffic routing only, making the entire network more efficient. Currently, static routing needs to be setup using the local-only web GUI, but will soon be available in the Insight mobile app and Insight Cloud portal, so stay tuned for that!

Static routing feature has always been available on the 28-port models via the local web GUI; and it will be coming soon in Insight as well.

    Granted - we're using the Insight Switches with Insight management (only), figure....

New for IM5.0, is static routing setup within the Insight mobile app and Insight Cloud portal!
