Orbi Pro SXK80 dropping wireless connections

Morning, hopefully someone can help.
We've setup the SXK80B3 kit in AP mode using wireless backhaul and vLANs for each wireless network.
When it's not dropping connections it's running perfect.
The DHCP server on the pfSense router correctly assigns IPs to the correct vLANs etc.

Unfortunately it's regularly dropping connections, as in, every wireless connection.
Going through the logs the only thing I can see that looks relevant is
<6>Dec 7 09:33:33 kernel: br-lan: port 7(ath2) received tcn bpdu
<6>Dec 7 09:33:33 kernel: br-lan: topology change detected, propagating

I've attached a quick diagram of our setup and hopefully someone has some thoughts.

Thanks

We're on Firmware 4.2.3.102 and it appears that disconnecting either of the satellites resolves the issue.
From other posts I've seen I'm suspecting it's an issue with VLANs and the Mesh.

It's a temporary fix but not suitable for the long term... I have MFDs (printers) that need to be connected to both satellites and can't proceed with our business roadmap until we can use both.

      Hi

Im having the same issue, basically when using vlans in AP mode. Im working with a Netgear engineer, but no fix yet.

  • I'm running into a similar issue with the SXR80 as my router, with WAX610/630 APs setup with a POE switch in the middle.  The support at Netgear suggested I go downgrade the firmware to the previous version locally.  My guess is they know there is an issue with the current firmware but as Netgear does, has no urgency on fixing things.
