Question on the Difference in Network using SRR60 and SRS60
Can someone help me find the difference between the Wifi/Wired Network characteristics of the SRR60 and SRS60?
I have the SRR60 in my living room attached to the Verizon modem. I then have an SRS60 in my den, which has a PS4 wired to it. They both are the same Wifi network when I go to connect to the internet on a device. I have no issues with anything connecting to the actual internet.
However, the PS4 is not discoverable using remote play when my device is connected to the wifi network on the SRR60. When I take it upstairs, and reconnect to my wifi network, it does discover it. The device is connected to the SRR60 wifi, which has the PS4 wired to it using an ethernet cable.
Why are these different? If both are the same Wifi Network, which is my only wifi in the house, why does one allow me to see the PS4, and one does not? Does it have to do with MAC addresses? IPs? How can I set it up so that the internet upstairs on the SRS60 Satellite can be the exact same as the downstairs wifi of the SRR60?
I finally figured it out, and its a bit silly. I had the Verizon Router still plugged in, and had the Orbi router plugged into that. Then it was relaying to the Satellite. Something in my head finally clicked, and I plugged the internet cable directly into the Orbi, which then got everything going on the same IP format (10.x.x.x). I guess when it says Router mode, that is my tip to use it as a router....
Thanks for your help though!
