Transfer Armor plus to new router
Had Netgear Orbi for 5 years and paid Armour service. Recently bought new router to replace this, however you cannot transfer the Armor plus to the new router. Customer Support does not help and tells me we are escculating the request for days, the same thing they keep saying and they never will complete the request to tranfer the "paid" subscription.
generally there is no support outsie of AI or someone telling you on the phone the samething. They do not assist and give you the run around.
now i have paid for a service and a expensive router that i cannot use and obviously cannot get any support.

Please review this:
You'll need to work with NG support on this since this is all beyond forum help if something happens. There could be something happening on there side of the fence.

The process described on that web page seems pretty clear. At what point does it fail?

would be clear if it let you do it.. says the new router already has a subscription(the trial version - that ran out) contact support to have it switched. I did that last week - talked to them 4 time since then with a ticket and they still have not switched it. they said 24-48 hours 8 days ago.

Thanks for the explanation. Geez. The next time you contact Netgear, perhaps ask, "how do we escalate this problem to a higher support level?"

They escalated it three times.. I emailed and called 5 times and last 3 they said we have escalated it - still states "In Progress". However i still pay for the Armor and currently unprotected till they transfer it, which at this point don't think they intend to. would have to purchase the new one on the new router and eat the 4 months still left on the old router. Good way they increase their revenue.

Checked again today - they dont have it done and they said " we have escalated it to the team". One of the worse customer service i have dealt with in years. Would have went with several other brands if i new this.

I passed this to NG as well. Things can happen behind the scenes that are not intended and can take longer than expected to get fixed.
Will see if they can check on this again and give some slack on time since you haven't been able to use it.
