Nighthawk App (Android) - not able to connect to Router after 04/05 update
HI, I have Netgear R7800. The router is working fine and I was able to login to the router remotely from my mobile using the Nighthawk app. However, on 04/05/2021, Netgear released a new version of the app (2.9.6.1513) and since then I am not able to cnnect to the router from this new App.
Everytime I try to connect with admin login, I get the error message
"Login times out. Please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device".
I have tried,
1. restarting my phone
2. uninstalled and reinstalled the app
3. forced stop the app, cleared cache and data
4. restarted the router
None of the above has let the new app to connect to the router.
Please let me know anyone facing or anyone can help me with a solution.

May you provide the current firmware version your router is on.

- dipbAspirantHi Christian, the Nighthawk R7800 is having firmware version 1.0.2.82. Checked now that this is the latest available.

Hi dipb,
May you factory reset your router by holding down on the reset button for 15+ seconds and running through the setup assistant again using the Nighthawk app.
