Nighthawk iOS 2.7.2.19 Unable to Rename Devices

Hi All,

I’m unable to rename the device names in the device manager tab of the Nighthawk app !! Also I dont get an option to choose the device icon type, its just as you see in the attached screenshot, just a dotted circle !!

    Hello SundeepM,

     

    I would recommend checking to see if your device is due for a firmware update along with trying out the Nighthawk admin page via web browser to see if you're able to rename your devices.

      I figured out the issue is with the router Firmware version V1.1.0.78_1.0.1

      Router Model: R6350 (India)

      I downgraded the firmware to V1.1.0.64_1.0.1 and then tried opening the Nighthawk app and then the edit option appeared, Upgraded the router firmware and tried checking in Nighthawk app , edit option disappeared.

      Netgear support was least helpful and I have reported the same but they are asking everything like logs etc etc of the router even when I have clearly mentioned that the issue is with Router Firmware !!

      Not sure how to make them work to fix it ? I would have preferred different brand router
