Remote Access WNDR4500v3 via android... how?

Hi,

 

I have enabled remote access, but looking at the instructions for the genie app both on the desktop and my android device, there are no options to select remote login?

The android Genie will only let me access the router if connected on the same wifi network.

      1. What is the firmware version of the router?

      2. What version of the NETGEAR Genie desktop and Android app do you have installed?

        I am not at home at present, the router I updated 2 days before posting to the latest available.  Genie version on PC 2.4.20 Android version 2.4.26.

    I have tried it on a Hudle 2 and the same.. to be honest this is an absolute joke. Possibly the issue could be wrong make of android device, wrong android version etc etc. I have the latest products, so netgear should be making sure that what they sell works with that. I am boxing it up and sending it back. It fails to meet netgears expectations, let alone mine. Thanks for your help.
