Wrong network password
I was trying to reconnect via wifi to my HP printer. It asked me for the network password. I typed it in and it said it was the wrong password, but it wasn't. I tried to connect to another printer that is a Canon, same thing happened. I then tried to login to my Nighthawk router C7000v2, and again it says my password is wrong. So I tried to connect to a tablet that I have and clicked the forget button so I would have to reenter the password to connect to the router. It asked for the password and it worked. Why can't I connect to the router on some devices but, not others including my app for Nighthawk?

Thanks for the answers. Assuming these printers are connected to the Nighthawk with WiFi, many printers can use a WPS button to connect to WiFi. What are the model numbers of the HP and Canon printers? (so I can look up the User Manual to see if they support WPS)

Did you try installing the HP Smart app on your phone? Instructions for connecting it to your wifi network are page 7 of the manual

You can set up the network name and password from the LCD screen here.
When done, you can double-check that both printers show up in the attached devices list of the C7000. Consider reserving an IP address for both printers in the router.

If you still have having trouble connecting to the printers from the PC, then you might try simply removing them from the PC and re-adding them. I've sometimes had to do this with my own printers.

- Using a device (computer? laptop?) that is already connected to the Nighthawk router (wired? WiFi?) I tried using a laptop, desktop and phone that are all connected via wifi except the laptop is wired.
- Attempt to connect to the HP printer how? (using the printer's IP address? through the computer "Settings"?) The printers were already connected at one time. They lost the connection and I was trying to reconnect them. I tried reconnection thru both my phone setting and laptop settings and it says couldn't connect to network, incorrect password. It is the correct password. It's on the physical router/wifi device
- How is it established that the printer is asking for a network password? When I try to connect thru wifi on my phone it asks for the password.

Try disabling WPA on the modem and see if the printer will connect to it in the open. If it does, then try enabling WPA and TPIK on the modem then have the printer re-connect.
What model printer is this?

Perhaps a bit more detail would help.

Something to make contact with the printer Mfrs about regarding there products.
Ensure WPA2 and AES is set on the C series gateway.
Check with the printers Mfr about security support. Some older printers may not support WPA2 or AES modes. Try setting WPA and TPIK or mixed AES and TPIK.
Try setting manual channels to 1 and 40 or 11 and 48.
