Normal speeds after reset but after a day goes slow again
I have a XR500 hooked up with a Arris SB8200 and gig comcast internet.
For some reason I would get my speeds perfectly then in a day it goes to 30 MBPS!! I've tested the modem and It gets the speeds. I contacted live chat before and a firmware corruption seemed to be the issue or resolved my issue or so I thought. He went through everything and that made it go to normal but it sinks again. I've factory resetted it again and re did the newest firmware it would work again but after a day it would go bad.
My suspicion it's the QoS settings triggers something.(I know you can limit your speeds on QoS). I put the standard 70% on DL and Upload. My speeds shouldn't sink to 30/1. Any idea's what to do?

What are your expected maximum speeds?
In QoS, have you got Share Excess Bandwidth selected?

I have 930/30 ish. I disabled QoS as a whole and it didn't increase.

try going in and manually setting up the qos bandwidth for your speeds.
Also disable anti-buffer bloat.
have you tried downgrading the firmware a version?
or when the speed slows down, checking your cable connections page?

Have you logged into the sb8200 to check the ISP cable connection? you can check that and post them back here.
Have you noticed if wired device loose speed as well or just wireless?
If wireless, is it the 2.4ghz band, the 5ghz band, both?

Its wired when I lose speeds.

this happens to me to. It honestly makes me want to commit die every day as I have to restart my router evrey single day because it just refuses to work like any normal router. My router from 6 years ago works fine only problem being it doesnt support my gig speeds. But this one with the same exact setup as op aside form the modem goes from 980mpbs and basically every hour that passes I lose 10% of that speed. Given like 2 days without restarting my wifi speeds across any device will reach like 12 kbps.

yeah it doesnt matter what settings I choose QoS enabled disabled auto channels whatever
