XR500 — Nighthawk Pro Gaming Router does it support fiber optic
i was wondering if this router support fiber optic or not before it buy it.
Only reason is my current router keeps going out randomly not the motem just the router
Try installing firwmare version 1.0.9.42 to the R7000. Then do a factory reset and a new install (don't use a backup configuration)

Most fibre companies give you an ONT or a gateway to convert from fibre to ethernet.
That's what you'd connect the XR to.
What current modem is your current router connected to?
its possible that its just a settings issue.
yeah all they gave us was they put in the cord and pluged it into the motem then into the router and left

- Can't see the picture, you will have to attach it directly otherwise take a look on the underside of the modem and it will tell you the model. If the modem has a LAN ethernet port then the XR can be connected to it.
