20/40MHz Coexistance (RBK963)
I have tried responding to the thread titled "Orbi 960 2.4GHz Bug Causes Devices to Disconnect from 5GHz and 6GHz Networks" twice now. Yesterday's response disappeared in a couple of hours and today's never went in.
I had a problem with my two satellites getting ip address renewals multiple times per day and my iPad dropping its 6GHz connection at about the same time. I turned off the 20/40MHz coexistence feature a couple of weeks ago. Now my IPad has been rock solid and I get IP renewals every 12 hours (down to the minute) for each of the satellites. I'm not sure why this is working for me but I'll keep monitoring things.

20/40Mhz only effects 2.4Ghz devices. Would not effect RBS connections or 5Ghz.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

About 4000 sq feet over 2 floors. RBR is in the basement centrally located and the two satellites are at opposite ends of the house and each is about 30 feet apart straight line. Satellites are hardwired. Power is set to 50 percent. Wireless is set to channel 1, 40, and 69 for 2.4, 5, and 6Ghz channels respectively. Yes, all IP randomizers are turned off at home.
Thanks!

My neighbors aren't interfering with my system per a scanner I use. We're on different channels and the houses have good separation between them.

As FURRYe38 pointed out, 20/40 coexistence should have no effect on either the router-satellite connection or on devices which use 5G (or 6G) frequency bands.
If this phenomenon can be replicated, that would be very interesting indeed. i.e.
- Change the coexistence setting.
- Monitor the behavior..
- Change the setting back.
- Monitor the behavior.
If changing this 2.4G setting can cause this sort of change, one would think Netgear would be grateful to know about it.
