Connections Drop and Unable to reconnect to WIFI
Running Orbi WIFI 6 RBR850 with firmware V4.6.14.3_2.3.12 and auto-update turned on. I have 1 satellite connected which is a RBS850. The system normally works great and we have great coverage but over the last 2 months we have had to log into the RBR850 turn off the DHCP Server wait about 10 seconds and turn it back on to get devices to connect. The system will just drop all connections and not allow reconnection until this is done. Quite annoying and concerning. Is anyone else experiencing this? Solutions?
There are 80 different devices in the house that are trying to connect. Is that too many for it to handle?
Appreciate all the help.

Depending on what they are, 80 devices is pretty common these days.
Can you please provide more information about the situation:
- Does this affect every device in the house (all 80) or only some of them?
- Both 'wired' and WiFi connected devices?
- When this happens, what does the Attached Devices page show?
No devices connected? - How often does this happen?
Daily?
Weekly?
Several times every day?

- Does this affect every device in the house (all 80) or only some of them? - They do appear to all loose connection with the router.
- Both 'wired' and WiFi-connected devices? I do not have any wired devices.
- When this happens, what does the Attached Devices page show? I have a very hard time even getting into the system. It sometimes takes me 10-15 minutes to get connected to reset the DHCP. It is showing all of the devices but none of them are properly working.
How often does this happen? It seems to be will increasing rate. It started every couple of weeks but in the last 2 weeks, it has happened 4 times with no apparent cause. I am not setting up anything new. Just last night it happened twice and I still can't get one of the cameras to reconnect.
I'd get the system updated as soon as possible and would also factory reset the system and setup from scratch using a PC and web browser.
Manually update process:

Your behind on FW, Something that may need to be updated at some point: When I attempt to update it says it is up to date which does not seem right.

This is a frequent source of confusion on the forum, for which no one seems to have a good explanation and Netgear provides no documentation. What we observe is that new firmware will appear on the support web site. For the 850 product, the latest firmware can be found here: https://kb.netgear.com/000065816/RBR850-RBS850-Firmware-Version-7-2-6-21
Even though this new firmware is available for download, the router Firmware Update software may not report that it is available. (This is where the lack of documentation leads to speculation.):
- Maybe Netgear is waiting for "early adopters" to install the new firmware and report how things go? In the past couple of years, at least one firmware release was pulled back when user response was "this sucks!!! It broke my Orbi!!!"
- Maybe Netgear thinks the new firmware is not critical or does not address serious issues and thus there is no sense of urgency?
- Maybe whoever was supposed to make some change so that Firmware Update would recognize the new firmware for this particular model retired, quit, got fired, or is busy with other tasks?
Anyway, one of the "facts of life" is that when users report issues, one of the first comments is, "update the firmware to the latest version. Maybe the problem does not exist with newer firmware and there is no sense flailing around trying to find out what's wrong with firmware that is no longer in use."
Any progress on this?

After the updates, it went a solid week without issue and I thought I was good. Then Sunday at 10 pm the internet in the house went out again. This time it was different though. This time the satellite turned purple and when I logged into the router remotely (so it was still connected to the internet) all of the devices were gone from the listing. This time I had to reboot the router by unplugging it. Once I did that everything reconnected. Thoughts?
Was the RBS only one to show PINK in front or did all units show pink?
What was the FW applied to the system?
Did you power cycle the system OFF for 1 minute then back ON after applying the FW update?Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed?
Is IPv6 and Guest Network enabled?
Can you take screen captures of the RBR and each RBS debug pages that show all the data from System Up Time and up on this page please?
What does the Up time show on the RBRs web page under advanced tab/show stats on the WAN port.
Does the RBRs log feature show any reboots or access to the internet?
Can you turn OFF one of the RBS and just run with the RBR and just one RBS for now?
