Frustrated, MOEN Water Shut Off Valve Disconnecting From Orbi RBR750
Hi,
My MOEN Smart Water Valve always connects to the RBR750 and then disconnects after 1 hour. I am told by support for the Orbi mesh system make sure to have band steering turned off to have a more reliable connection for your Moen Flo.
But when I go into settings on my phone for Orbi, I see no way to steer band and see from prior posts this may not be possible.
has anyone had this issue with the Moen Smart Water shutoff valve? I am terribly frustrated.
I did go into Orbu phone settings and turn WPA/WPA2 Personal but still having trouble.
Would love any advice if anyone has had this problem.

What FW do you have loaded on the RBR? V7 FW provides a separate IoT network for IoT devices.

Thank you for trying to help. I think you are asking firmware? In phone app it says v4.6.9.11
Ok ya, v4 doesn't have separate IoT network support.
Do you have any RBS? if so, are they RBS750 or 350s?

Hi, I happen to have this same issue so I called Moen and they said that there's currently a glitch that they are investigating but as long as the valve is showing both dots green, then that it is working and we just have to wait until they get it resolved. She said we won't get any notifications, it will just receive an update and the problem will be fixed.
And what Orbi model system do you have?

As an FYI to the chain, I had the Firmware for all Orbis correctly updated and even now have the option to move the MOEN onto an IoT network with dedicated 2.4ghz chosen. Just like before, connects right away and then about 1 to 1.5 hours later disconnects. At this point, I am at a loss. Have tried to escalate to MOEN and per the comment before here, sounds like they are aware. What a frustrating experience!
