Manual update router updates satellites?

I have the RBR750 and two RBS750 satellites. I just performed a manual update on the RBR750 router, by uploading the chk file (7.2.7.15). When it restarted, I opened the two satellite web pages, and they had been updated. I did not think this happened last time, I had to manually update them. Is this how it works? Are the satellites good to go, updated? Ir is it an erroneous reporting.

Thanks

  • Typically if you manually update, which is what I do, the satellite(s) are updated first, one at a time, and then the router. Restart the system and you should be good to go. Backup the settings and store them away. If your system works as expected after your update then you're set.

You are one lucky dude.  As Phyber remarked, the recommended practice is to manually update satellites first and the router last.  Perhaps the Automatic Firmware Update option was enabled and caused the satellites to be updated without specific action on your part.
