Orbi RBR750 wifi speed
I have an Orbi RBR750 with 1 satellite. Just upgraded to 1gb fiber internet. Speeds with a wired connection are in the 900's Gbps but wifi speeds tested with a Galaxy S25 are in the 400's. Firmware is up to date and disconnecting the satellite does not change the speeds. Tests were conducted right next to the router. Any suggestions on how to get the wifi speeds up? Seems like I should be getting faster wifi speeds

If the S25 connects using WiFi6 (802.11ax), I would expect to see speed closer to 700Mbps. Does the phone (or the Orbi) indicate that the connection is WiFi5 or WiFi6?
(the WiFi symbol often has a tiny number to show the connection method)

It is connected to wifi 6.

A couple thoughts.
- Why do you want faster speeds on a mobile device? 4k streaming only takes 25-50mbps.
- The 752 system wasn't the fastest system. It was a base model with dedicated backhaul (wireless connection between router---satellite). Its 5ghz fronthaul was only 1200mbps with a 2x2 antenna configuration. Most test that I seen testing during performance reviews were in that 500-600mbps range. And with only a 2x2 5ghz connection, it left some performance on the table.
- What modem is it connected to?
- what speeds do a wired device see? Wireless is hard to judge as many things impact performance. Such as distance, interference from other signals, network congestiong, etc. So while its nice for a baseline, it isn't the best way to test.

Update 2 generations of technology to the WIFI 7 with Orbi 970.

Its only 1 generation unless you're counting 6E as a generation. Its moving from AX to BE.
I wouldn't upgrade unless you start paying for multigig speeds. The investing is quite a bit and won't net you much benefit.
The RBK750 is pretty solid and should handle a 1 gig home without issues. Yes, you might not max out the 1 gig over wireless but most devices don't need "MAX SPEED!!!!" unless you're speedtesting. They're good with lower speeds. Even myself, I really haven't noticed any speed change after 300mbps and I've got 2 gig service. The only reason I pay for multigig is because of testing routers/networking gear.
