RBR750 WiFi stop working after firmware update
Hi. After update the firmware on RBR750 WiFi stop working absolutely. It's not advertising the WiFi network. Also I tried to put ssid manually but had the same result. I can get access to router only via cable. When I log in the starting page shows that wifi is working ok. I tried to reset router a few times. I upload it with all 4. firmwares and the last 7. firmware but nothing changed.
So I'm very disappointed, and don't understand how is it possible, that firmware update can broke your device.

You'll need to explain a bit more about what that means and what is happening at your end before anyone can begun to help.
It might also help to check the section given over yo your Orbi hardware. (This place is a confusing mess of sections.)
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Orbi WiFi 6 (AX) and WiFi 6E (AXE) - NETGEAR Communities
You might like to search there for messages related to your issue.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- andrewkaAspirant
Yes this question for Orbi WiFi 6 (AX) and WiFi 6E (AXE) - NETGEAR Communities
I checked a lot of threads but could not find the same situation. WiFi stop working at all. That mean that I can not find the ORBI network by searching with different devices. I tried to connect by put ssid and password, but get the same issue. All other function of router look ok. LAN, WLAN ports also working good.
So that's why I decided to create new thread. All HW inside RBR750 looks ok. Any damaged or something on PCB board. So I absolutely sure that it happened right after update. I can provide more information, but I need to know what exactly.

Where? I can't find it.
This section is for Nighthawk with WiFi 6 (AX) and WiFi 6E (AXE) Routers.
Orbi WiFi 6 devices are different. They belong here:
Orbi WIFI 6 (AX) AND Wi-Fi 6E (AXE) Mesh Systems - NETGEAR Communities
I can provide more information, but I need to know what exactly. What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". There may be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
If there is one it might also help if you told people the make and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that sits between this router and the Internet. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
I ask because a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting. After the update, did you reset the Orbi router?
Did you reboot devices in the required order?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.
How was the RBS and RBR updated for FW? Did you let the system Auto upate, or did you use the Update All button on the RBRs web page or did you use a PC and web browser and download the FW files to the units from the PC using a web browser?
Pressing the reset button on the RBR for 15 seconds then release should factory reset the RBR. After about 3-4 minutes, with out doing anything you should see ORBI## SSID on any wifi device? ORBI## will be what is printed on the bottom sticker here. Does this not appear at all on any device?

Hi. Thanks for answer. As I said I tried all reset scenarios. I tried again your one. Unfortunately I got the same result.
Yes SSID is not available on all 8 devices that I have.
I have checked some logs and figured out that beginning from firmware version 4.x.x.x it looks like wifi can't be initialized or configured. Probably someone from netgear can analyze it?
Ok so, last resort, try a 30-30-30 reset on the RBR with out anything connected to it:
With the router plugged in and powered on, depress the reset button for 30 seconds. This button is usually a tiny dot recessed into the back of the router. You may need a jeweler's screwdriver or a bent paperclip to access it.
While still holding down the reset button, unplug the router from its power source for another 30 seconds.
With the reset button still held down, turn the power back on and hold for another 30 seconds then release.Use a stop watch on a phone or pad to track the 30 seconds.
After the last reset button release, give a few minutes then see if the default SSID appears on your devices.
If this fails, you'll need to contact NG support:

Then clicking on "Get answers about NETGEAR products before I buy" then clicking on "Networking for Home" then "Chat with us".
