RBRE960 - IoT network doesn't show up
Hey,
I've setup a Orbi RBRE960 with two satellites. It updated to the latest firmware (V6.0.3.85_3.1.15), and I enabled the "IoT network" on a unique SSID. It's set to "WPA2-Personal" and "2.4Ghz and 5Ghz" (the default settings).
However, none of my devices see that SSID. I've restarted the router via the Orbi app as well.
Any suggestions?
A factory reset seems to have sorted it out, and the IoT network is broadcasting now (with the exact same settings as before).
Kindof a huge pain to have to factory reset it and reconfigure everything, but at least it's working.

What is the SSID name you input?
Try using the default SSID name?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?

Perhaps it would help to know what kind of IoT devices these are.
99% of my smart plug, etc. etc. have no option to change WiFi networks. They have to be factory reset and set up from scratch again.

Can other devices see that SSID (PC, Phone, etc). If so, the SSID is broadcasting.
I have several IOT devices (plug, cameras, etc) that are accessing my IOT band; however they had to be re-setup - they just did not move over.
As CrimpOn stated, it would help to know what devices you are trying to use.
I have found that sometimes some IOT device setup doesn't work well when both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands use the same SSID. It's usually the setup program that is causing the issue.
What you may want to try is setting your IOT band to 5GHz only and setting up the IOT devices that can see 5GHz, then changing up the IOT SSID to broadcast 2.4GHz only and setting up the IOT devices that only see 2.4GHz, and then setting your IOT band to broadcast on BOTH, and they all should connect. Please note that while doing the setup, you will probably need to drop and reconnect your phone to the IOT band when doing the 5G, then drop and reconnect when doing the 2.4G to insure your phone is on the proper band while setting the devices up.

The SSID is "WhyFly-IoT" (it was automatically generated based on my usual network name it seems).
I've restarted the equipment, yes.
By "None of my devices", I mean both IoT devices and regular ones - my phone, my wife's phone, my chromebook, none of those see the IoT SSID either. All of these devices are connected to the regular "WhyFly" main SSID without issues.
Following through the instructions beginning on page 57:

I noticed one tiny detail that has bit me in the (you know where) many times over the years.
I tend to fill in the blanks and then 'move on' to something else without clicking the Apply button. It's not that I'm careless, but.... (well, I am careless).
