RBRE960 DHCP issue?
I have an RBRE960 with three RBSE960 units. Two are wired, and one is connected wirelessly.
I’m experiencing major issues with my devices losing connection to the network. My iPhone suddenly drops the connection and gets a 169.254 address. The same happens with my Apple TV, Mac, etc. To fix it, I have to forget the network on the device and reconnect. I have the latest firmware installed, v7.2.7.15.
What could be causing this, and how can I resolve it?
Thanks in advance!

What model iPhone do you have and what iOS version is on the iPhone, ATV and Mac?

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended. Is IPv6 enabled on the RBR?
Using detected ISP DNS or custom DNS like Cloudfare or Quad9?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Try 1 and 40 or 11 and 48.
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

I have different models of iPhone, both 15 and 16. The same goes for Macs, several different MacBook Pros, both older and newer models. I also have the latest Apple TV. I only use Apple devices wirelessly, so those are the only ones I can verify the issue on. However, other wireless devices like cameras also frequently lose their signal, so it’s likely happening to all wireless devices on the network.
I have fiber, and the converter in the house is a Genexis XG6846. I use CAT6A cable from the converter to the RBRE960.
IPv6 is enabled. ISP DNS is detected. My house is roughly 3,900 square feet. The building is very thick concrete and brick. The distance between the RBRE and RBSE units varies between 30–40 feet. I’m currently using Auto channel and 40, but I can try 11 and 48.

What iOS versions are on the phones and Macs and laptops?
Please disable IPv6 on the RBR. Been some known issues with Apple devices and IPv6.
I have IPv6 disabled on my 960 series currently online and not seeing any issues with my Apple devices.
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home.
Has this been happening all along or or just started happening?
Concrete and steel will be problematic for wifi systems.

From the title of the post, it appears that you are aware that 169.254 IP addresses are typically the result of a device not getting a response from a network DHCP server:
- Are Bitdefender Armor or Smart Parental Controls enabled on this system?
- Does this happen to "non-Apple" devices (printers, Androids, Windows, smart plugs, security cameras, etc.)?
- Does this system reserve IP addresses for devices? (i.e. in the web interface LAN Setup table)
- How is the Mac connected to the network? (wired or WiFi?)
- How frequently does this happen?

No. - Does this happen to "non-Apple" devices (printers, Androids, Windows, smart plugs, security cameras, etc.)?
Since I only use Apple products I'm not sure. But other wireless products like WiFI-cameras do drop out of WiFi.

No
- How is the Mac connected to the network? (wired or WiFi?)
- WiFi. I do believe that I only have issue with WiFi products.
- How frequently does this happen?
- Everyday

To confirm, did these issues only arise when you started using firmware v7.2.7.15?

No. Have had this issues about a year now.
