RBS750 not connecting to RBR750
Hi all,
First of all sorry if someone already posted this issue here but I was unable to find the exact same issue on my own.
I bought a RBR750 with 2 RBS750 satellites, and managed to connect th router with the first satellite without an issue. I have been trying to connect the second one for 2-3 days lately but I am unable to connect it.
I tried:
- plugging the satelitte to power and follow the step on the orbi app but the satellite just keeps flashing white and is never detected
- doing factory reset and re-doing the steps on the orbi app, but still flashing white and not detected
- bringing the satelitte to the same room as the router... no luck
what else can I do? I am not able to send a message to Netgear on top of that...
thanks
Joe

Netgear provides 90 days of "complimentary support" with the purchase of Orbi systems. When the purchase is registered with Netgear, there is a link to "Contact Support". See

Many of us who participate on the forum are more familiar with using the Orbi web interface than using the Orbi 'app'.
It would help if you could access the Orbi router using a web browser and select the Home Page menu item "Add Orbi Satellite".
In the User Guide, see page 18 for how to access the router:

I registered it on the NETGEAR website but since I bought this pack used from Amazon, the 90 days are over.

I understand, and acutally I also tried using the web interface of my router to no avail... "Satellite setup failed."
What concerns me is that it won't stop flashing white... I do not see any other color or else.
thanks
Joe

thanks a lot in advance.

Does the RBS connect to the RBR if you ethernet connect it to the back of the RBR?
Does it get a IP address for the RBS seen on the RBRs web page?
Your ISP modem seems to have a built in router and wifi already. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
