What are the recommended Channels and Channel widths for an RBR750 system?

Question

Thinking about tweaking my system but it's been a long time since I've done that so what are the recommendations for 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels and channel widths. Simple home system, nothing elaborate.

Go with whats works best for you, the system and your envrionment. Not all envrionments are the same so will be some differences.&nbsp;
Use what works best.&nbsp;
Also limiting the features being enabled on the system can have some impact. Armor, SPC and Guest Network Or Traffic Meter, I don't use so those don't impact anything for me.&nbsp;

Note the environment can change - depending on exactly what your neighbors are doing, and also you can get interference from other sources (bluetooth, microwaves, other stuff). Plus speed tests are going over your internet connection, and mileage there also varies.&nbsp; &nbsp;

So if one of your tests is giving "good enough" performance, then keep it running for a day or so, and periodically check the performance. When you do that, run a couple tests in a row.

The best channels depend on your environment (particularly competing wifi), and also on regulatory restrictions in your country.&nbsp; Do you have a WiFi analyzer app (or PC software) that you can use to see competing signals?

I don't think you can change the channel width.

Find out whos near by your home with other wifi signals. Find the lowest used channel on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Primary channels to use on 2.4Ghz is 1, 6 or 11 and 5Ghz is 36 thru 48.&nbsp;
I use manual 1 and 40 for my system here keeping away from other used channels.&nbsp;

You can change 20/40Mhz coexistance channel width only on 2.4ghz.&nbsp;

The setting just tells the Orbi to back down to 20 mhz if it finds a competing wifi that it might interfere with.
&nbsp;
There are a few cases where turning this off will improve 2.4 ghz performance.&nbsp; Whether that matters depends on what devices you have that require this band.&nbsp; &nbsp;Your phones, tablets, and pcs are almost certainly connecting at 5 ghz.
