CM1200 to Orbi 370 no internet
Cables are all checked. When connecting CM1200 directly to PC (all ethernet cables), instantly internet access
Setting up the Orbi 370 from CM1200, has wifi but no internet. Have done all the reboot sequence and still no go. CM1200 is a modem only device so I don't have to configure it to anything.
My old R7000 was connected to the CM1200 for 8 years wiith no problem.
What am I missing here?? Why isn't this a simple plug and play in 2026?

Just to be certain:
- you hooked up the 371 (router) to the CM1200? Not the 370 (satellite)?
- and you connected to the bottom ethernet port (right above the power connector)?
Are you able to log into the router's web admin page?

It's the router. I haven't touched the satellites yet until I establish internet connection

Able to set up with wifi using browser instead of the app and checked the internet port. All are 0. The external ip, gateway ip, subnet mask, and DNS. It seems it's not registering to modem.

Be sure you are connecting the RBR to number 1 WAN port on the back of the CM1200 modem, there are 4 WAN ports there I believe the top most port is port 1.

Ya, it's always been modem 1 to router as that's how it was on my R7000

The ethernet cable it came with is also CAT5E.

I don't need >1gbps ever since so don't really need the 2.5 gbps cable.

Power OFF both Modem and RBR for 1 minute then back on with the modem first then the RBR?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the Modem and RBR. CAT6 is recommended.

I have done that sequence multiple times. Thr cable is only CAT5E. Does it have to be a CAT6 for Orbi 370 to work?
