Hello guys,
I want to jump to Orbi 970 but I have one qestion before purchasing.
Will Orbi 970 run on below setup?
PR60X-->GS724TPv3-->ORBI (router) + 2 satelites? Like in drawing.
Thanks for your support.

You need to connect the Satellites behind the Orbi router unit, not in parallel at the GS switch. Move the switch behind the Orbi router.

Also if your going to use a host router, would recommend using the Orbi system in AP mode.

Thanks. I now about this backhual.
I already have PR and GS and the best solution as I see it right now would be to spread all 3 orbis at different points of the house connecting them to the GS.
If I would use it as AP is there any chance that the system will not work 100% coreectly?
I also checked some of NG AP products but I need some ethernet ports for the network.

As long as the GS switch is connected behind the Orbi RBR and the satellites connected at the GS behind the orbi RBR. Router or AP mode. Will work correctly.
If you use the smart managed switch in between the RBR and RBS, then you'll need to keep the RBR in router mode and configure VLAN on the switch to ensure the RBS work correctly when a managed switch is in the mix: https://kb.netgear.com/000066653/How-to-resolve-Orbi-Ethernet-backhaul-issues-when-using-a-NETGEAR-Fully-Managed-Switch-or-Smart-Switch
Orbi AP mode will not work correctly if a managed switch is in the mix if RBS are ethernet connected.

Thank you.
Now I think that I know everything I wanted to know.
Thought that this backhaul will also work as I wanted it to work.
Have a nice day.

NH is only for the RBR and RBS communication only. No access by any other devices. So RBS do need to be connected behind the RBR when ethernet connected.

Will Orbi 970 run on below setup? As FURRYe38β pointed out, Orbi routers (In 'router' or 'access point' mode) require that the satellite are connected either (a) via WiFi, or (b) to the LAN side of the router. (which is NOT what the diagram proposed) There have been numerous posts on the Forum describing problems with the proposed design.
I question the basic premise. With the existing investment in Insight managed professional equipment, what is the point in dropping an Orbi router into the mix? Why not install some business class WiFi access points (at MUCH lower cost) which support features which are part of the PRO60x and managed switch?

I need minimum 3 ethernet ports at each end. From what I've seen for example wbe750 doesn't have extra ones.
I also want wifi 7 so from AP that netgear provides I can only use WBE750 or WBE710.

Could install some non managed switches at the remote ends for additional ports. Something small with 5 or 8 ports?
Since the WBEs are mostly PoE supporting and only have 1 LAN port, could get a PoE switch as well at the remote location to connect a WBE at the remote location.
I have a GS305P I use when I have one of my WBEs deployed.

It is indeed awkward when the location of the ISP connection and wiring hub is not a desirable location for one of the three WiFi access points. If it were, then an RBE971 router (in access point mode) could connect directly to the two satellites, bypassing the gigabit only GS724TPv3. Also frustrating that wiring the RBE971 directly to the PR60X and using WiFi to connect the router and two satellites is not suitable.
As it stands, the comparison appears to be:
- RBE973 for $1,800. Performance limited to gigabyte at the satellites because of the GS724TPv3. Having to deal with the satellite connection to LAN ports issue***.
none of the RBE971 'router' functions being available (AP mode)
vs. - (3) WBE710 @ $350, (3) PoE adapters @ $20, (3) gigabit switches @ $40 for a total of $1,230
Everything managed by Insight
*** The only known solutions for connecting an Orbi router and two satellites to a central switch are
- Install a second Ethernet cable from switch to RBE971 and bypass the GS724TPv3 for the WAN port, or
- Install a managed switch at the RBE971 location and use VLANs to carry both the WAN and LAN connections over the single Ethernet cable.

Unfortunately, the wiring has been brought to the most critical places, which is currently covered by the Asus Pro XT 12. The intention before the renovation and drilling into the walls was to run cables to the areas where the wifi was the weakest. And thatβs what I did. During the process, it turned out that Asus does not work stably with the configuration I wanted to achieve to reduce the mess of network cables. Initially, it was connected as I wanted to achieve with the Orbi system. However, after some time, it turned out that the connection is unstable and knocks out the entire wifi network, the mesh stops working, and it needs to be configured from the beginning. The Orbi appeared, but as you rightly pointed out, it is an expensive system, and before I bought it, I wanted to get confirmation that I would achieve what is shown in the drawing. Now I know that I won't do that. Of course, I can consider an AP now; however, the renovation assumed a different scenario, and now with the AP, there will again be a problem with visible cables :)

It might be helpful to see a diagram of the entire existing network, including WiFi access points.
Asus generally ranks toward the top in WiFi reviews. How many Asus units are installed? Perhaps Asus units are sensitive to 'wired' connection methods? (similar to the Orbi systems?)

Surely the Ethernet cable is 'visible' on RBE970 satellites?

It looks like this.

Orbi would work in that same configuration as well.

Before renovation I didn't think about AP, so I've made the ethernet sockets in not suitable point for access point:)
I would need to run the cable directly on the wall (that's unesthetic :)
And placing AP about 20 cm above the floor is without sense
