Admin access locks up
After successfully setting up my router (#RAX43v2), now when I log in to the admin console via the web interface, the interface locks up when I attempt to click on Advance options (e.g. Setup or Administration). At that point I can no longer use the admin console, or the Nighthawk app. The router appears to continue to manage connected devices, access to the internet and allows devices to disconnect and reconnect. The router needs to be rebooted to allow access to the admin console and Nighthawk. I am using Firefox 117.0 on Windows 11 22H2 and Android. Router firmware v1.1.3.18.

Same thing happens with MS Edge browser?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.
https://kb.netgear.com/24089/How-do-I-specify-the-pool-of-IP-addresses-assigned-by-my-Nighthawk-routerWhat Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. Thanks for the suggestions!
Same happens with Edge.
Router firmware is v1.1.3.18.
I've not yet done a new factory reset - but will try that next.
I'm using the flat cable that came with the NG router to connect it to the cable modem (from Spectrum, Hitron E31N2V1). I will swap that cable for a short, CAT 5E cable.
I did a factory reset. The FW was up to date already. I replaced the cable to the modem.
the biggest change was that I did NOT enable the Armor security option.
So far, the web and nighthawk apps appear to be working as expected - i.e. no lock ups.
I'll continue to monitor.
AT some point, try enabling Armor and let us know what happens...

The obvious first boilerplate question, if there is one it might also help if you told people the make and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that sits between this router and the Internet. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
I ask because a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.
Having two routers on a network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. And that could explain what you see.The cable modem is a Hitron E31N2V1 - not a router, just a modem. I didn't think the modem would affect this issue, but I did provide the make/model info in my previous reply.
