What about the status LED indicator on the top? Is the Wi-Fi indicator illuminated to indicate the radios are transmitting?
See attached.

Have you logged in to the user interface and renamed the Wi-Fi SSID, or did you leave it the same as printed on the label on the back?
Did you configure the router using the mobile application or use a web browser through a computer?
Computer would be best. Within the user interface there is a place to turn the Wi-Fi on/off. You should toggle it on/off a couple of times and reboot your router.
Keep in mind the router broadcasts the Wi-Fi signal, the client devices do the connecting.

Can you say a bit more about the "bridge mode"?
There is usually more to it that a simple tweak. For example, a lot of people turn up here thinking that turning off the wifi does the trick. No.
Then there is the problem that bridge mode means different things on different contexts.
Throw in how different modem/routers work and you enter a minefield.
In this case, how does "VPI/VCI = Untagged" fit into the bigger picture?

I have several years on both of you, but I have worked out how to get screen grabs using "Alt + PrintScreen".
Sadly, while I can just about read that picture, it isn't clear to me that you have the correct settings. Have you sought advice from your ISP?
It looks like this modem/router has caused other users problems with bridge mode:
Centurylink C4000LZ in Transparent Bridge Mode - Google Search
There are several promising links there. But it does boil down to a problem with the modem/router rather than the R6700AX
See this:
C4000 Modem Setup | CenturyLink
If that is the modem/router you own, I wonder why you want to dredge up the R6700AX. The CenturyLink books looks like it is younger and more capable that the Netgear router.
If it is a wifi range thing, you could use the Netgear in Access Point mode.
