  • Channels 1, 11, 12, and 13 will no longer be used when the 2.4 GHz channel is set to Auto.

Uh waht - this does not make any sense to me. Christian_R  please?

  • I'd have to agree. I usually recommend 1-6-11 for people with 2.4ghz congestion problems.

My router is on the latest firmware (64) and can confirm that the router still selects channel 1 when set in auto mode.

Incidentally, when channel 1 is active, nothing can connect to the 2.4ghz channel.

Is it a bug in the release notes or a bug in the router they were trying to prevent with this change?
Either way, channel 1 is still used in auto mode.

      Hello Everyone,

The following 2.4GHz channels will no longer be used when set to auto. However, you will still have the option to select channels 1,6, and 11 but will need to be done manually.

Christian_R what is the idea behind this (strange) design change?

Does the same apply to EU versions for the channels 1, 7, and 13 then?
