  • The main reason where Netgear must suppress the region settings are the FCC regulations - so models sold in the US.

There is only one firmware for all markets.

What model id does your RAXE300 show on the back: Is it a RAXE300-100NAS (that would be a North American FCC version) or a RAXE300-100EUS? The RAXE300-100CNS is the version for the Chinese market, the RAXE300-100PAS is the version for the Asia-Pacific market.

thanks for your help, but no word on the back side -100nas or -100eus or -100cns or -100pas

it's just say model raxe300 and have address netgear uk

      • Well possible the manufacturer product designation isn't printed on the device. As you mentioned the Netgear UK mark, its a European model - with the hardware version -100xxx (what could vary) and the market designation -nnnEUS - this visible on the shipping box label only.

Worth a try to tweak the Web UI code as it was suggested before. And hope the change can be applied and saved, different from the FCC models.

Where are you looking to change the region?

The only place where Netgear locks the region is usually North America. Models sold into Europe usually have the option to change the region:

    • Advanced
    • Advanced Setup
    • Wireless Settings
    • Region

    Or, in some firmware:

    • Advanced
    • Setup
    • Wireless Setup
    • Region

In both routers, I see a Singapore option.

        Guide

        Hi

I have bought RAXE300 and RAXE500 from Hong Kong authorized dealer.

RAXE500 can change region code to other Asia Pacific countries, e.g. Japan, Korea, Hong Kong...etc

But the RAXE300 which I bought from Hong Kong with same distributor, it is LOCKED to Europe.

I cannot change the region code.  the label at the back is Netgear UK. (RAXE300)

I just found Wifi6E frequency channel in UK is the same as Hong Kong.

Those government blocked reserved frequency is the same in HK and UK.

RAXE500 which don't have Netgear UK label at the back, it do not specify country as RAXE300.

but region locked to Asia Pacific countries.  I cannot change it to Europe or USA.

If I want to use ALL frequency in WiFi6E, I can change the region code to Korea in the RAXE500

but seems NO solutions in RAXE300.

        Best Regards,
        Tiger 🙂
