Re: iphones will not download apps or updates on wi-fi.
Hello,
I'm experiencing this I have a NightHawk RAX54
Firmware Version V1.0.16.132_2.0.92
this started happening 4 days ago.
I have factory reset the router and set everything back up.
It's happening on both phones where we cannot download apps/updates when on wifi, we can when on Cellular Data.
please help.

Try using other DNS besides ISP DNS, try Cloudfare or Quad9. After inputting and saving the configuration and apply, I'd do a full reboot of the ISP modem and router then try again on the phone.

I'm unsure if this is effecting android phones. However had a friend com over with an iPhone 15 pro and it did the same thing.
when he connected to your network it gave him the warning that it wasn't connected tot he internet even though it was.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Is the router using auto detected ISP DNS or custom DNS? Try custom DNS like cloudfare or quad9 on the router.
