Slow speed with RAX 80 on Wifi
I have a 300Mbps speed package with Comcast. When I plug the desktop directly into the CM1150V, I get download speeds of 325.9 Mbps, Upload is 8.7 and 16ms for ping.
When I connect the desktop to the RAX80, the download speed drastically drops to 9.1 Mbps, Upload is 12 Mbps and 17ms for ping.
If I run the desktop wireless, the speeds are 8.9 Mbps download, 7.7 Mbps upload and 18ms ping
Firmware version is 1.0.2.76_1.0.35
I had several support tickets opened and I've only had this for a little over a week.
We have two iPhones (6SE) and they are getting speeds of ~270 Mbps
When I run the Netgear app and run a speedtest, its averaging around 356 Mbps
Why does the desktop (directly connected to the modem) get the correct speed and when it is connected to the router, the speed drops but other devices are fine?
I just wanted to update on the situation. I needed a BIOS update and after downloading/installing, I am getting the speeds that I should be getting.

a couple things you can try.
1. factory reset and manually reinstall the router. The rax devices are pretty new and after firmware upgrades, respond very favorably to resetting and reinstalling.
2. Make sure if you reset/reinstall, leave access control, parental controls, traffic monitoring, qos disabled. They're not recommended >250mbps.
3. Check your cables. it wouldn't be the first time a cable caused an issue
4. Try a different pc. Like the cables it wouldn't be the first time a pc/laptop was having issues with its wired port
5. try enabling ipv6.

Thank you for the information, I'm going to work on it this weekend.

Mine is slow too...
You needed a BIOS update? Do you mean firmware for the router, an iOS update, or something elsewhere? What firmware are you running? I am on V1.0.2.76_1.0.35
Can you also let me know:
- what channel you selected?
- Do you have AX on or off?
- Do you use QoS?
- did you enable IPv6?
- are you in 5GHz 4800Mbps, 2400Mbps, or 1200Mbps mode?
Thanks!
