AX-4 AX3000 RAX36 on/off schedule??
Hi all,
This one is a few weeks old and every time I try to set the wifi on/off schedule.....off at 12:00 midnight....on at 6:00 am; it stays off the next morning. Have to go to the plugged in LAN laptop and turn the 2.4 and 5G wifi back on for our IPADS and printer. via the router login.net.
The firmware is V1.0.7.54.
It wouldn't even update to the new firmware from the old firmware! Had to go to the site and update it manually since it kept saying you have the latest firmware which wasn't true!!
Was on the phone with Netgear support yesterday and he walked me thru the manual update deal and said try the on/off times now.
same as before. Doesn't work!!
Any info appreciated.

Did you double-check that the time zone is correct? Most Netgear routers default to Pacific time.

There may be an issue with "midnight". Can you try turning WiFi off at 12:01AM and back on at 6:00AM ?

Thanks.....I'll try the 12:01 thing......

Thanks....but the time can only be set by 1/2 hr increments.
The time zone was set to Pacific time. Needed to be Atlantic so that may have been the problem.
Will find out tomorrow morning!!
Thanks for the reply!!!

Thanks for the info. (I should have looked that up.) Hmmmm. I just set up this schedule on my ancient Orbi router:
Hit "Apply" and it took. My (very dim) memory of when I tried this YEARS ago was that the "off time" had to be in the same 24 hour period as the "on time" and midnight was "yesterday".
But. it's pretty clear that my router and yours may be very different (and my memory not all that useful). What IS pretty clear is that MY router requires Start of Blocking to come BEFORE End of Blocking.

Yes,
They are definitely different routers. This one being two weeks old.
Will know, for sure, in the morning.
Still can't believe I had it on West coast time, instead of East!
The Netgear rep never suggested checking the time zone!!

Well I'm up now and it's on!
It was the time zone being wrong.Eastern now and it's ok.
Another headache gone!! On to the next one!!
Thanks......Ken
