https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RNDU2000/ReadyNAS_Ultra_UltraPlus_NVX_Pro_HW_FR_02Aug11.pdf

ps:

Windows 11

Firefox

TLS1.0

  • I'm not completely following what you are saying (I have to use Google Translate), but an OS re-install does not set the IP address to 192.168.168.168.  It sets it to DHCP and the default IP that gets set when DHCP isn't working is 192.168.168.168.  If you are trying to connect to the NAS directly with your computer rather than via a router with DHCP, you can address it via that IP address, but the PC will also have to be set to an address in the 192.168.168.xxx range.

That's what I did. I connected the NAS directly to the PC. I reset the password, but I'm not receiving the password.

  • Thanks Sandshark,

    Thanks.

  • I don't understand what you mean when you say you are not "receiving the password".  Do you mean that after successfully making the change you no longer get a password prompt when you attempt to log in?  If so, what do you see instead?  Is your PC still set for an IP address of 192.168.168.xxx and directly connected to the NAS?  Does RAIDar see your NAS and what status does it show if it does?

Excuse me, perhaps I wasn't clear. Yes, indeed, I no longer had the username/password prompt.

I reinstalled the OS, and the prompt reappeared. When I go to "configure" in Raidar, I have an address in the format 192.169.168.168/admin, but unfortunately, the username: admin and the password: netgear1 don't work!

Yes, Raidar correctly detected the NAS and all the indicators are green

Has your NAS been converted to OS6?  If so, the default password after an OS re-install is password.
