C6300 loses all connections.
Lose all internet connections, hard wired, wi-fi, when I connect hard wire ethernet to my dtv receiver. On time warner, they have sent a tech, replaced the C6300, new one does the same thing. Computer is the only thing hard wired now.
Replaced ethernet cable- 50' long- no help.
Everything else works perfectly until I connnect anything, dtv, media player, blu-ray, by hard wire.
Help?
Well, it was a simple error on my part. After power outage, 6300 reset itself. I had access control on from my original setup. I just overlooked that, odd to me though, that ALL internet was interrupted when the DTV receiver tried to connect, being hard wired.
Even Time-Warner tech ran out of ideas....
Left it unplugged, accessed 6300 menu, turned off access control- allow all to connect- connected, turned access control back on.
Simple, except for a man who has a 47 year career in carpentry...:-)
