C7000 poor wifi, caused by traffic?

Question

So I have a C7000 modem/router combo though Comcast. I'm paying for speeds up to 200mbs. Right now I get 50 IF I'm lucky. Comcast says that it is caused by high traffic and that i should go back to there brand modem (LOL over a Netgear Nighthawk?) I've also called Netgear and they walked me through on how to get the most out of my modem. I have changed my channel, downloaded the latest firmware, I'm lost at this point. Everyone says to just plug it in through LAN to get higher speeds but it's not like I can keep my laptop stationed next to the modem or have a massive cable running through the house. Any ideas?

200 Mbps over wifi is a big ask.&nbsp;Spend some time on Google and you will find that there are limits to wifi speeds.&nbsp;What speed should I expect to see on my WiFi compared to my bandwidth - [Solved] - Wireless Networking&nbsp;What is the actual real-life speed of wireless networks ? :: SG FAQ&nbsp;Everyone says to just plug it in through LAN to get higher speeds ...&nbsp;They are right.&nbsp;You may get better speeds if you use powerline adapters to create a wired network.&nbsp;
