C7000v2 adding wired satellite
I currently have the Nighthawk c7000v2 router. I want to add a satellite (mesh?) on back patio that is covered, so we can have Wi-Fi at pool.
I have run Cat 6 ethernet cable from the router to the spot on the patio where the satellite will be mounted.
easy to run cable one level home
I may add a second satellite at a later time. Since I am running ethernet I am a bit confused what is my best option.
I have looked at the Nighthawk Mesh, Orbi Mesh and some TP-Link products like their outdoor unit.
What do you suggest is the best route for me to go?

- microchip8MasterYour router is not compatible with Mesh technology. Either get a new Mesh system like Orbi or MK, or get extenders/access points and use them with your existing router.
I was told If I run ethernet all I need is something like this sorry not Netgear:
I have an extender really doesn't help much never use.

Something to contact TP_Link about regarding there product.
This is a forum for NG products. Sorry.
Only NG products that can help extend wifi signals from the C series modem are the EX series extenders which the 7700 and 8000 can be used in AP Mode with a ethernet connection to the C series modem.
Good Luck.
So I need to replace my Nighthawk router if I want to install a mesh system?

You can configured the C series modem for modem only mode, so you can continue to use its modem for internet services, then yes, connect up a MESH router system.
