can't log into my router and it won't factory reset

I am trying to log into my router but the admin password combo does not work.  I don't recall ever changing my login or password so I decided to do a factory reset and push the resessed button on the back side of the router.  I have tried it for 10 seconds, 30 seconds, tried it comboed with unplugging and plugging back in.  I can't get it to factory reset.  I have a CG3000D

    Hello ryanvox

     

    The only way to factory reset is to hold in that button so if that is not working something may be wrong with the modem if its still under warranty I would suggest contacting netgear phone support to see if it can be replaced.
