CAX30 UPnP error with multiple Xboxs

Setup: I have a CAX30 acting as modem and router. UPnP IS toggled on in the gateway utility. Verified latest firmware installed. 2 (sometimes more) xboxs connected via wireless.

The issue is each xbox shows UPnP unsuccessful and NAT type moderate. The Mrs and I like to play cooperative games together and it's impacting our ability to do so.

I've spent hours searching the web for solutions, but nothing has worked so far.

I would really love some advice on how to get this resolved.  Let me know if there's other information needed to reach a possible solution.

Thanks!

  • If you assigned a static IP address and manual port number, try disabling uPnP on the CAX30.

What FW version is loaded on the CAX30?

Which ISP are you connected with?

Do you see on the CAX30s web page under Advanced tab/SetupWAN Setup/NAT Filter?

Also try setting a manual port # on each xbox from Automatic.

ISP is Cox (hate em, but they're they fastest in town)

I've scoured the utility for NAT filter settings and could not locate. I have attached a few sceenshots from said utility.

I have previously assigned each xbox a static IP and manual port number, verifying that it is forwarded correctly in the utility.

Holy crap so far that's working! I never would have thought to turn uPnP off after assigning manual numbers.

I'll mark that as the solution for now, and will update if anything else changes. IE "no news is good news" if ya don't hear from me.

        Thanks again!!!!
