CM1150V compatibility w/ ProSafe FVS318G

Tried to connect a Netgear ProSafe FVS316G router to the new CM1150v cable modem. The router will not auto connect to the modem and when you try to force the router by inputing all the Comcast ISP info, it will still not make a internet connection(aquired the ISP info by connecting a computer to the modem). The router was connected to a Frontier setup previously and worked fine. We have this router connected to other cable modems, at other locations, with no problems. Trying to find out if there is some sort of compatibility issue between these two devices. Even though this is a "residential" router, there still should not be a problem. This is a home office that needs the VPN capabilities the the ProSafe gateways provide. We know that this is a new device, and there might be issues yet to be found.

Comcast does not accept STATIC IP for residential.

Just use DHCP on WAN and it should work. If not, Please post your setup info screenshots here.

Also, note to connect ONLY ONE devices behind CM1150V and not multiple.
