CM2050V All Lights Flashing After Internet Outage
Recently we were notified of an internet outage, when we were eventually notified that service was restored we noticed that there was still no service. On checking of the DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem (CM2050V) all of the front lights were rapidly flashing, unplugging and re-plugging causes no change of behavior.
As best as I can tell something about the outage bricked the device. Additionally this is actually the second unit to see this issue, the previous was well outside of warranty and I ended up replacing it with a new purchase.
Nothing in the manual appears to speak to what is wrong when all lights flash https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/CM2050V/CM2050V_UM_EN.pdf
Any ideas?

You'll need to contact NG support:

Nothing we can do about this here in the forums.
- mkwycheAspirantHaving same issue. What was your resolution?
- rbridgeTutorStill waiting on a resolution from support. They started me on a few steps and I need to call back. I’d assume it needs replacement.
- mkwycheAspirantOk that's what I figured. Yeah I just had Xfinity support come by after no success with this modem, replugged in my old ARRIS and all worked again. So def Modem issue. It's unfortunate given that this modems specs are much better.
