Devices lose internet. Restart device and gets reconnected. Constant ping shows sporadic higher return times hundreds ms. Clears up then has a regular spike.

    Computer: HP Laptop

    Connection:  Wireless connection

Ethernet: Shows no issues when I connect to it.

Problem: Computer responds terribly slow at intermittent times.

    Troubleshooting conducted:

Ran a continuous ping to gateway 192.168.0.1 and received round trips that bounce from 3ms to 300ms sporadically.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Changed my 2.4 GHhz to channel 9, I show about 30 Access points, but there is only 4 on Channel 9; already set to manual. 5GHz has been changed as well. I have been monitoring the channels and changing when their busy.

This problem has only recently started in the past 3 or 4 weeks. Before that I did not have a problem. Nothing recently has changed on my network. The Netgear C6300 is 3 or 4 years old.

Was looking to see if the Netgear C6300 was at its EOL, but unable to determine that the Netgear website.
