Model C7000v2 help

just purchased this last August and now I can not use it unless its 10G for Xfinity. Actually I can use it but its so very slow now and alot of pages will not load. I do not know what to do. The price I paid for this router/modem combo I can not afford to keep buying new ones. I do not think its 10g and I don't think I can even upgrade it.Can someone please help me?

This model modem can't and will never do or see or support 10Gb. Max speed support is 1Gb.

Ask the ISP to set your ISP speed tier to 800Mpbs or 1Gb for the download.

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
    Turn off and unplug modem.
    Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I will do all this tomorrow but it is a combo router and modem. Thank you for answering me so quickly. If I should purchase a new router can you tell me what to get, I have quite a bit that is wireless in the home. I have about 20 items in the home that is wireless but not all at one time. Also the home is a tri-level I am sure that matters too.

Your modem is a certified DOCSIS 3.0 device that will work fine with downloads up to around 940 Mbps.  No need to get whipsawed by the Xfinity 10G marketing machine and their various scare tactic notices.  With your hardware, there is no need to purchase any higher download tier than 1 Gbps.  The C7000v2 technology is getting long in the tooth, but it should continue to perform well.
