N300 (Model C3000) No Internet, Power on, All Lights Flash Periodically
Hello all,
I have an N300 C3000 that periodically lost internet connection until yesterday when it stopped receiving any signal at all. Typically, the device would lose internet and automatically recycle within a couple of minutes and work fine. I've been putting up with the inconvenience for a number of weeks figuring it had something to do with the ISP. I tried leaving the unit unplugged from everything overnight yet the issue persists. The "power" LED appears solid green and all lights occasionally blink together (roughly 30 seconds apart) inluding one red light (which I think is the power light??). I called Comcast and their tech support confirmed that the device was not receiving any pings sent from them. I live in a large older apartment building and am wondering whether this may be indicative of a unit that's gone bad or wiring issues. Device is not much older than a year. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi S_V_B,
Can you provide the a screenshots of the events logs and cable connection of the modem. You can check it when accessing the Modem's UI(routerlogin.net or 192.168.0.1). We can check it has something to do with the ISP for with the modem.

I just bought a new modem, a Netgear C3700 to be able to connect to Comcast/Xfininty internet and all of the lights are on except for the internet light and the downstream light. The upstream light flashes but that's it. Comcast says they see that our modem cannot connect, but doesn't know what else to tell me besides to have a tech come out. I don't want a tech coming out if this is something with my router, no need to spend $50 for advice. I was wondering if you think it's my modem that is the issue?

I cannot seem to access the modem via IP address or routerlogin.net. The browser simply returns not online/no internet connection. When I run the command ipconfig, the gateway network address is null which is disconcerting. Also, there are a number of lines that read "media disconnected". I tried running a few other commands suggested online to no avail. Also, I plugged into the unit to a neighbors coaxial and it appears to perform the same (power light steady green, then all lights flash every 15 seconds with power flashing red. Pretty much ready to throw the towel in and buy something else.

If the downstream light is still blinking it means its not locking on so something is wrong with the cable signal I would say a tech would have to come out and adjust you levels.
S_V_BHave you tried to do a factory reset and see if you are able to log into the modem? if so the modem may of had a failure since you are saying the power light is blinking red.
