Recommendation for - Best wireless VPN Gigabit+ Wireless Router
Am replacing my "nerve center" which is out of date and need a new router and modem that works with Time Warner.
I would prefer a POE router if such an animal exist with VPN ability.
Am trying to stay under 220 bucks..
I need an 8port gigabit+ Wireless Router with VPN and a Time Warner compatible Modem.
I just got a Roku 4 and need really fast LAN speeds for the UHD 4k videos.
And POE if it can be done for security cameras.

- Netgear doesn't have a model that meets all of your requirements. None have 8 LAN ports (you can always buy a 5 port switch for expansion). None have POE. You didn't specify if you need VPN server or client support (probably server but I won't assume).
You should look at TWC's list of approved modems and modem/router units.

I'm now using a Netgear X8 AC5300, which provides the best performance for my personal NAS server. Pick one from the list and compare with other wireless routers.
