Does the PLW1000 need to be on the same circuit?
Hi.
I was wondering if anyone can confirm if the two PLW1000 needs to be on the same power circuit within the house? This promo video says that can connect it to any power outlet (https://youtu.be/GKy90rPLo6k?t=46).
I'm not 100% sure my two power outlets are on the same circuit as one end is a new extension to the house.
Thanks.

How many fuse boxes do you see?
Powerline will cover a whole house, but if the extension has a separate fuse box, that can slow things down. A few plugs added to an existing circuit shouldn't be a problem.
I use Powerline in two buildings, with two fuse b oxes. It spans the gap, but not as well as if it was all on a single circuit.

Multiple fuses but one fuse box.
Just out of interest, how are your fuss boxes connected? i.e. does 'spans the gap' mean that the power goes back to mains, down the street, etc? And what sort of speed are you experiencing?

My second fuse box runs back to the main inlet into the house. So all on the same mains link.
Speed? I have never tested it.
