PLP1200 in two routers.
Hello I have 2 routers one router is 192.168.1.1 and the other is 192.168.2.1 In 192.168.1.1 I have normal ISP connection and in the other 192.168.2.1 openvpn. Now I have PLP1200 powerline Adapters but before proceed I want to now how in the same home I can use PLP1200 devices for 192.168.1.1 and different powerline Adapters for 192.168.2.1 For example connect one PLP1200 to 192.168.1.1 and other PLP1200 connected to 192.168.2.1 and the devices in the wall AC connectors in whole home I don't want to mix the devices of the 192.168.1.1 with the 192.168.2.1 devices. Is posible do that? Because if I connect PLP1200 powerline Adapters how they will know if must serve to the PLP1200 connected to the 192.168.1.1 or to serve the PLP1200 connected to 192.68.2.1
Thank you
- No if you use the Netgear powerline utility or genie you can change the default encryption key of 'HomeplugAV' to anything you like. As a simple example you could have 2 units with a key of 'HomeplugAV1' and another two with 'HomeplugAV2' and they would coexist in the same home quite happily, but running independently of each other. To change the keys you will need to be connected by lan cable to each unit. Hope this helps

Yes it is possible. Use a different encyption key for each of your networks, and the units will quite happily only talk to the units that have that same password/key

to give different key must be like the manual say pressing the button process?

One more thing I don't know if I'm dong something wrong but I can only put with encryption key two powerlines if I put a third is not detected. Is possible to put more than 2 with a security button for a different configuration than the default factory that comes with each powerline?
Thank you

Connect the third unit to your pc / laptop by lan cable and change the encryption key yourself to the same one as the first two, using Netgear Genie or Powerline Utility (links below). Once changed all three should see and talk to each other.
