AC1200 randomly disconnecting

I'm about at my wits end with this USB adapter, for the last number of days since I picked it up. Pretty much from day 1 it's been randomly disconnecting from my internet, it's still connected to my usb but it refuses to connect to any wifi signal, unplugging it doesn't work, resetting my computer doesn't work, and when it does it lasts about a whole 5 minutes before it's back to square one. I've uninstalled everything for it then reinstalled it. I've used the cd download, and the download on this website but still nothing is working.

 

I'm running on windows 10 and see a lot of these problems come from people using windows 10. Is there any fix for this? These things aren't cheap and to have it not work is infuriating. Thanks

    1. Does disconnection happens on 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?

    2. Have you tried running the standalone driver of the adapter instead of the driver with Genie?

    3. Do you have other Windows 10 device that you can try to install it?

      Maybe Netgear should actually fix this issue, too many complaints, not just on this forum.  If this is how they handle issuses, I won't be replacing anthing with their brand.

        I have this model and ever since I purchased it it would hook up to my Netgear R7000 router and then disconnect from the router then reconnect very often. I have Windows 10. I am in warranty and I would like a refund.
