WNCE2001 stopped working, power led pale red
Hi all,
I used a WNCE2001 adapter to connect an Yamaha receiver rx-v 475 to my home net. All of a sudden, the adapter stopped working and since then, the power led shines only pale red. When switching power on, the power led quickly comes up with orange/yellow light and then turns pale red. The LAN led is bright green when connected via lan cable to the receiver, the WLAN led does not do anything. A WLAN connection cannot be established. I used an new power adapter as well as the USB cable, but the problem stays the same.
Is there any chance to get the adapter to work again ? I did not update the firmware yet, since I do not think that this would help.
Thanks in Advance for any hint,
Greeting, Stephan
Hi Sethman,
Try to reset the adapter. Try using a different power adapter. You can check WNCE3001 or WNCE4004.

Hi StephanM,
1. Can you still access the UI of the adapter?
2. Are you getting a valid IP from the device? Can you ping the IP address of the adapter?

Hi StephanM,
If that is the case, the adapter is no longer working.

- SethmanAspirantI just started experiencing the same problem. Red power light with the wall plug adapter. I let it be for a long time and it worked for a few minutes and made an internet connection. Checked for firmware update but there wasn't one. Then the power light went back to red. The manual says this means the power source isn't giving enough power but op said he tried different adapters. Is this a problem with the adapter or the plug? Any fix for this? I'm aware this is an older product, is there a newer similar adapter?
