AC1900 D7000 wifi loss using TP Link extenders
Hi,
I have successfully installed the D7000 and appear to have no problem with internet connection.
However, I have connected it to TP link extender network and the wifi works and then unexpectedly drops out. The extender network is hard wired to the D7000, but the LED continues to stay orange on the port, never changing to white whether the extender works or not.
I have tried rebooting the D7000 and the extenders but this has not helped.
Does anybody have any advice ?

Hello PeterJa
Have you tried to reserve the IP address of the extender? also have you tried a different ethernet cord?

Many thanks for your response. Have tried a Cat 6 cable with nochange. Not sure how to reserve an IP address.
It appears that the Netgear router regularly does not issue out IP addresses to devices. Is that fixable on the router or do I need to bin it ?

The manual gives an excellent narrative on how to reserve an IP.
