Can never get to www.mywifiext.net

Question

I have just purchased this extender less than 2 weeks ago.It worked great up till 2 days ago.Now when my signal drops between 4 to 6 times a day.When I try to go to another netgear site it tells me I,m not connected.How are we suppose to get these set up properly if we can never get onto the web site?I have tried IE,Google Chrome,and Firefox.I cleared my cookies,history,cache,and everything else.And still nothing.It just keeps saying either My firewall is stopping it or I am not connected to the internet and to rest the page which never works.Mcafee does not have certain web sites that are blocked.Only something called netguard, and when I turned that off I was hit with tons of pop ups in seconds.Is there anything else I can try before taking this thing back?Thank You

I meant my wi-fi worked better with 2 signals from the same source with the same&nbsp;modem address.After reading your info i went ahead and reset the net gear extender one more time and started all over from scratch.it now works even better plus i moved it about 10 feet closer to the modem even though i had all green lights.And this time when I used the auto setup i also set up the modems addresse and my PC.Everything is now linked as one compete unit..Thank You for such a fast reply back yesterday.It really helped me out.

www.mywifiext.net is not a website on the Internet. &nbsp;It's a clever way to log into your own extender. &nbsp;In order for it to work, you need to be connected to your extender. &nbsp;This means either connecting to its Wi-Fi signal or its Ethernet port. &nbsp;If you are trying to connect to its Wi-Fi signal but you have forgotten the Wi-Fi password, then use the button to reset it to factory settings. &nbsp;Insert a straightened paper clip into the hole of the Factory Reset button and hold it for about seven seconds. &nbsp;Then proceed to set it up from scratch. &nbsp;You may find the&nbsp;manual&nbsp;helpful.

Thank You,I did do all that several times.It does show me having a connection with 5 full bars with the wi-fi address my routers name and the _ext next to it.It also keeps connecting to my same wi-fi address without the _ext next to it and it does not matter if I uncheck the "connect automatically" box or not.I even have the genie installed and that shows a great signal.I just do not have a netgear modem but I have Timewarners.I,m just stumped.It actually works better with both connected.
