Cannot login on router through browser

Hi all,

I bought a second hand EX8000. I performed a factory reset of the device and then did a setup of the EX8000 using the Nighthawk Android app. So far everything works great but I would like to manage / change some settings of the router through the browser which are not available in the app.

I can login on the app, change some settings etc. on the router.

But when I use the same credentials when logging in with various browsers on login page of the router (192.168.1.150), I get an error "Username and password do not match.".

I performed a password reset through the app for which I got a confirmation email so that seems to be working fine as well. But I still can't login with my email / password combo.

What am I doing wrong?

Firmware version = 1.0.1.1.240 (latest version)

  • A reset should clear those out.

AFter the reset, try setting up using the browser and not the app.

That should let you start with the default admin/password option.

And you can customize it afterwards.

    the user name password is:
    login: admin

    password is: password (default one).

If you changed that, you'd need the one you changed it to. But the login should be admin

      Thanks for your swift reply.

I tried using admin instead of my e-mailadress as login but It still doesn't work.

I also tried my old password from before the password reset (obviously also didnt work)

Can it be that, despite the factory reset, the login/password of the previous owner is still in use?
