If I connect my extended to my wifi router by utilizing the WPS buttons on both the extender and router and they connect. Do I need to do anything else? In the instructions step 6 mentions connecting wifi decices by using a new network name, i.e. "MyNetworkName...". I thought it would be the same name as my router but I'm unsure if that is the case.Thanks!

Netgear extenders will usually broadcast a new name consisting of the router's SSID with "_EXT" appended to it. If you want to change this, you will need to log into the extender.

It's not appearing as an option but the extender is solid green. Thoughts?

  So, you log into www.mywifiext.net, go to Settings > WiFi but you can't change the Wi-Fi network name? Maybe you can try setting it up from scratch. You should have the option to customize the Wi-Fi name.
