EX2700/N300 wifi extender isn't doing the job.

The problem was that NETFLIX on my iPAD keeps losing connectivity when being used in the basement. The VERIZON router is upstairs. I thought that the NETGEAR EX2700 would be the solution. I placed the extender at the bottomof the basement stairs. However, I am still getting connectivity problems even when connected to the extender. The iPAD strength signal shows three bars, and two bars without the extender. IS this really a problem with the app versus the wifi signal? Thanks!

Ensure the EX2700 does run current firmware - EX2700 Downloads

What does the extender show for the uplink to the router - signal and link speed? Here a similar (slightly older) N300 unit (same image added as attachment):

Hello. I have updated to the latest firmware version. Here is the genie screenbelow. Iam still having problems connecting to the network, even though getting three bars. Thank you for your response.

You are showing only the extender network.  Can you also tell us about the extender->router link quality?  Posting the same page as schumaku did would help (using the web browser to reach the extender web ui, not the app).  Also, what color is the router link LED on the extender?

Also, is the iPad actually dropping the connection, or is the problem that Netflix streaming is stalling?  Have you tried running a speed test?
